jo + iain

Spring has come and flowers are blooming. So are my lovely brides to be. The other day I took one of the couples I'll be photographing in May, to a flower market where we shot their portrait session. A beautiful day, sunny and warm, so not like March in London! It was a great warm up before their wedding. Both Jo and Iain were wonderfully relaxed (well, not at first!) and it shows they enjoyed the day with me as their paparazzi :)

I have chosen a few sweet locations in East London beginning with Columbia Rd Market, there's this amazing little gallery called Ryantown you must check out their lovely treats. You will notice Rob Ryan's folk cut out designs in one of our photos below. From there it was only minutes to the Birdcage pub with its fantastic original green tiles. This feature background inspired me so much we shot at least 10 different frames there!

At the end of our session I've realized we've started and finished it on the stairs, first in Crouch End moving on to Kenwood House, isn't it romantic? I hope you will enjoy this brief preview of Jo & Iain's photo story. I will soon be off to photograph their wedding in beautiful part of Poland, Jelenia Gora near Karkonosze Mountains. So make sure to check it out early June. Have a beautiful Spring everyone. Almost here for good.

happy 2009 everyone!!!

Having spent this Christmas and New Year's in beautiful North Lake Tahoe in America, I'd like to send my best wishes for 2009 to you all and share a few photos I took. Of course only a very few, though I'm really tempted to just keep posting ;) I hope this year will bring you all the best things in life, lots of love, happiness, very few rainy days and tons of creativity in planning any upcoming weddings.

Happy 2009 everyone. Monica

hello and welcome to my new blog!

As my wedding photography finally started taking off, I've decided to share the most memorable moments I have captured of those in love. As I am new to blogging and quite sentimental too, I will start with some of my favourite images from Nick & Lily's wedding. It took place in Bath/UK a little while ago and it was this celebration that inspired me to become professional wedding photographer.

I hope through those few images you will be able to see why I got so hooked. Beautiful location, an amazing weather (how lucky considering it's England!) and most of all the atmosphere and the people I've met will for a long time stay in my memory.

Check out the pictures below and feel free to leave comments.

I will be updating this section regularly so do come back soon :)
